Tobacco
Poland is one of the largest tobacco producers in the European Union. Our country is the world’s third and Europe’s second exporter of tobacco products. The value of Polish exports in 2019 amounted to over €4.1 billion. Its structure is mainly dominated by cigarettes and processed tobacco.
In 2021, the industry’s exports accounted for 1.5% of Poland’s merchandise exports. In the same year, the current price of tobacco and manufactured tobacco substitutes exports amounted to over 4.2 billion EUR. Poland’s major partners in this industry, in terms of value of exported goods, are Germany, Italy and Spain.

The industry includes the following CN codes: 2401 to 2403.
These include, but are not limited to, unprocessed tobacco; tobacco waste, cigars, cigarillos, cigarettes made from tobacco or tobacco substitutes, processed tobacco and processed tobacco substitutes, and others.
