Tires
The Polish tire market is one of the most dynamically developing in Europe and is leading in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. Many factories of the largest tire manufacturers operate in Poland and they are among the most modern plants on the continent. The tire industry on the Vistula is an important part of the domestic industry and continues to develop steadily. Poland’s main partners in this industry, in terms of value of exported goods, are Germany, France, and Italy. In 2021, exports of the industry accounted for 0.8% of Polish goods exports.
While the pandemic period was extremely difficult for the sector, it should be noted that the tire market is beginning to recover. Already in the first quarter of 2022, over 4.5 million were sold. Most of the domestically produced tires are exported. A characteristic feature of the Polish market is the significant increase in sales of all-season tires, which is the result of increasingly lighter winters.
