23.04.2024
The Polish Investment and Trade Agency has launched another of its Regional Trade Offices. The PAIH Branch in Rzeszów was officially opened by the Minister of Development and Technology, Krzysztof Hetman, Deputy Chairman of PAIH’s Management Board, Magdalena Skarżyńska, the Mayor of Rzeszów, Konrad Fijołek, and Member of the Polish Parliament, Adam Dziedzic. The office will provide support for Polish companies from the entire province. It will also support entrepreneurs in their business contacts with Ukraine.
Regional Trade Offices were established throughout Poland in response to the needs of Polish companies. One of the Agency’s regional offices priorities is to strengthen cooperation with local economic and industry organisations and to educate SMEs in the field of export and foreign markets. An important element of the Subcarpathian branch’s activity will be to support local entrepreneurs in establishing business relations with the Ukrainian market. The opening of PAIH’s Regional Trade Office in Rzeszów was attended by numerous representatives of Subcarpathian business and local support institutions.
PAIH’s Regional Trade Office in Rzeszów, which we have opened together today, is a natural step to strengthen local business. It will be a real support for those who want to develop on international markets, but also for those who want to develop their business in the Subcarpathian region. PAIH’s office will also work to attract new investments to the region. I am glad that the economic centre of the Subcarpathian region has been significantly strengthened. Rzeszów has good development prospects in order to become an export and business hub. The communication infrastructure is certainly helpful here
– said the Minister of Development and technology Krzysztof Hetman during the ceremony in Rzeszów.
Magdalena Skarżyńska, PAIH’s Deputy Chairman, emphasized the potential of Subcarpathian companies. In order to make the best of this, the Agency must operate close to them, and the activities of the regional office will allow for more effective contact with entrepreneurs and local business support institutions, when presenting PAIH’s services, which includes support in the process of foreign expansion or attracting foreign investors.
The opening of PAIH’s Regional Office is a gesture towards local companies from the Subcarpathian region that are ready to develop on an international scale. Rzeszów and the entire province gain a place where they can gain knowledge, establish business relation and receive the support necessary for their successful expansion. In the last thirty years, the Polish economy has had a history of unprecedented economic development. This trend is worth maintaining, which is why we are launching regional offices, which will be the first point of contact for local business and will support it in its international development
– said Magdalena Skarżyńska, PAIH’s Deputy Chairman.
The Mayor of Rzeszów, Konrad Fijołek, who took part in the event, pointed out that the opening of the office will contribute to a more active internationalization of companies from the region. At the same time, he emphasized good cooperation with PAIH and the investment potential of the entire region.
Over the last three years, together with PAIH’s Foreign Trade Offices, we have organized nearly twenty economic events in Poland, Spain, Great Britain, France, the USA, Canada and Australia. In order to effectively develop our business cooperation, we have specially profiled our Department of the City Brand, International Cooperation and Tourism. For the past two years, together with PAIH, it has been organizing an original series of conferences entitled “Doing Business with”, which serve the foreign expansion of companies from Rzeszów and the Rzeszów subregion, as well as the presentation of our city and region to potential foreign investors as attractive places to invest capital and for cooperation. I am very glad that by opening its Regional Trade Office in Rzeszów, the Agency has taken another step to strengthen the support of companies from the region that are planning to expand abroad
– said Konrad Fijołek, Mayor of the City of Rzeszów.
During the opening, PAIH’s experts presented the possibilities of cooperation to the entrepreneurs present at the conference as well as, in detail, the areas of the Agency’s activities.
PAIH’s Regional Trade Office in Rzeszów is located in the Subcarpathian Science and Technology Park AEROPOLIS (Jasionka 954) and operates from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
