Katowice City Hall – Investors Assistance Department

Rynek 1, 40-003 Katowice

The Investors Assistance Department of Katowice City Hall is a unit which supports investors and enterprises from the SME sector. Assistance ranges from consultation on starting a business (including startups) to large investment projects.

IAD’s support for investment and entrepreneurship includes three pillars. The first unit, Team for BSS Projects (Business Services Sector) and Investment Promotion, focuses on development of this sector in Katowice as well the promotion of investment location of the city. The second team is the Department for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, responsible for the development of the SME sector, the startup and innovation ecosystem in Katowice. The third and last pillar is the Cubature Projects Unit, which coordinates development investments.

The mission of the Investors Assistance Department is to support the inflow of domestic and foreign investments and to support the companies present in our city. Our mission is based on three pillars that concentrate on direct support of individual business areas in our city.

The first one focuses on the development of the modern BSS within: SSC/GBS, BPO, IT and R&D. The support of the Team is based on the pre-investment, investment and post-investment phases, providing domestic and foreign investors with full support at every stage of the investment.

The second pillar is managed by the Team for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, which is in charge of development of the SME sector. It includes foreign expansion by means of numerous training courses, workshops and events. The aim of that Team is to create entrepreneurial environment, develop the SME sector and support the startup ecosystem. Its projects are carried in the work-oriented and meeting-friendly space of Municipal Business Incubator rawa.ink.

The third pillar is supported by the Cubature Projects Unit, which handles development projects in Katowice.
